Weed & Feed Time
Yesterday I put out my early Spring application of Scotts weed & feed for my St. Augustine grass. I really like this type of fertilizer because it helps knock out the weeds before we even get started. Some weeds always survive, but it makes it a whole lot easier to get rid of what is left. Not to mention the normal benefits of fertilizing your lawn.
I can already see green shoots of grass coming up. Probably won’t take more than a couple weeks to see a nice patch of green all over ![]()

Any weed and feed is most effective when applied during active weed growth. The main thing to remember is to apply while the lawn is wet. To provide a full kill of broadleaf weeds, the granules must stick to the offending plants which they cannot do when the lawn is dry.
